DECLARATION
The Hunting Horn Players European Championship
Motto: Hunting music is the gateway to friendship
The representatives of the federal and national hunting horn clubs confirm that they would like to cooperate on organizing the Hunting Horn Players European Championship based on the principles stated below in this declaration.
1. The Hunting Horn Players European Championship is held every odd year. The club representatives agree on the organizer. The organizer shall organize the Hunting Horn Players European Championship in a simple, modest and friendly atmosphere.
2. The Hunting Horn Players European Championship is held for groups of hunting horn players (plass horn and parforce horns) in the B and E-flatt chords. A group means at least 4 horn players. The maximum number of horn players is not limited. The groups play without a conductor and without a music stand.
3. The federal or national hunting horn players club delegates the groups for the Hunting Horn Players European Championship. The groups pay all costs related to the European Championship on their own (transportation, accommodations and meals). The organizer of the Hunting Horn Players European Championship pays costs related to organizing the competition and the judges (remuneration, accommodation and meals for the judges). All correspondence between the members is by e-mail. The language used among the participants is the language of the organizer and German.
4. Every national club has the right to delegate one experienced judge for the Hunting Horn Players European Championship together with the group.
5. Every national club shall provide a score of two four-voice compositions in B and E-flat for the Hunting Trumpeters European Championship, which will be available on the web pages of the Hunting Horn Players European Championship. The participants will choose 2 mandatory compositions from this list, which will be provided by other states. The competitor shall perform the division of the instruments of individual voices based on the specific instrumental composition of the group. The participants shall also play elective compositions. The number of the elective compositions is defined by the organizer.
6. The judges evaluate the performance of the participants based on the following criteria:
a) Presentation
b) Harmony
c) Tune
d) Tone culture
e) Overall impression
The participant may receive 1 to 5 points in every criteria.
1 point = sufficient
2 points = good
3 points= very good
4 points = excellent
5 points = brilliant
7. Every participant of the Hunting Horn Players European Championship shall receive a certificate of participation and a badge. The winner in every category will be named the European Champion.
